Getting started
After installing or updating Ultimate X Control Panel, refresh any X or Twitter tabs that were already open. Select the extension's toolbar icon to open the control panel. Confirm that Extension enabled is on, then browse Essentials, Appearance, Focus, Navigation, and Advanced or use the settings search. Most changes apply immediately; Custom CSS has its own Save and apply control.
Following is not perfectly chronological
Use the Following timeline by default chooses the supported Following view, and sorting controls can request X's recent mode. X still controls which posts it returns and their final order, so the extension cannot guarantee strict chronology. Refresh the tab and confirm that the extension and the relevant Home settings are enabled. If X is degraded or changes its response, the extension cannot manufacture missing posts or reorder information it never receives.
Quick Mute or Block buttons are missing
Open Essentials and confirm that Show quick actions on postsand the individual Mute or Block button are enabled. Quick actions appear only on supported, eligible posts whose account can be identified; they do not appear on your own posts or every special post layout. Let the timeline finish loading, then refresh once. You can also switch the buttons between compact icons and icons with labels, or move them beside the account name or More menu.
A mute action reports that it could not verify the account
This is a safety stop, not a silent toggle. Quick Mute verifies the visible target and current menu state before selecting X's native action. If X changed the menu, its wording is ambiguous, or the current display language is not yet supported, the extension refuses to act. Use X's normal More menu for that post and include the X display language in a support report.
Block confirmation or one-click mode
Ask before blocking is the default. The confirmation names the visible account before the extension opens X's native block flow. One-click mode is available in Essentials, but enable it only if you intentionally want to skip the extension's first confirmation. X may still show its own confirmation when required.
X looks blank, shifted, or unusable
First pause the extension from its master switch. If X immediately recovers, reset the section containing your most recent layout or Custom CSS change and re-enable the extension. Clear Custom CSS if you are unsure which rule caused the layout. Then refresh X. Include your browser name and version when reporting the issue; behavior in Chromium-based browsers can differ from stock Chrome.
Chat, Messages, or another X page is not working
The extension does not redirect X Chat to the obsolete Messages page, and the optional chat-drawer rule is kept away from Chat and Messages routes. Pause the extension and refresh to compare. If the same page is still broken while paused, the cause is likely X or the browser rather than an active extension rule.
Sensitive media is still unavailable
The optional unblur feature can remove a warning overlay only when X delivered the underlying media. It cannot bypass age, account, or regional restrictions, and cannot display media X did not send to the browser.
Current X branding or older Twitter presentation
Current X branding is the default. To opt into supported older Twitter presentation choices, open Appearance and enable Replace X branding changes. Turn that setting off to return to the current X interface.
Resetting settings and reporting a problem
Use a section's reset control when only one category is affected. The Advanced tab can export your configuration to a local file for a bug report, but review it before sharing. Never send passwords, cookies, authentication tokens, private messages, or private post content.
